Easy Baked Teriyaki Chicken Recipe

This simple chicken dinner idea is a family favorite! It's quick, easy and absolutely delicous. If you like teriyaki sauce, you're going to love how simple this is to make. The sauce can be used for any kind of chicken (grilled, breasts, thighs, wings, etc.), or even salmon!

Ingredients


  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 3 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger (optional)
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts


Instructions


  1. In a small saucepan, over medium heat, combine the soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, sugar, corn starch, water, garlic, pepper and ginger. Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Once the sauce has thickened, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool for about 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 375 degrees and grease a baking dish large enough to fit the chicken breasts.
  4. Place your chicken into your prepared dish and pour about half of the sauce evenly over top.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, and then pour the rest of the sauce over top. Continue baking for another 15 minutes, or until your chicken is thouroughly cooked.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving with rice, veggies or salad.
